Hudson is small town with a great deal of history and a great deal charm. The community was settled by English, Scottish and French immigrants around the turn of the 19th century. The cultural richness of the community today owes a debt to its first settlers.

Located on the south shore of the Lake of Two Mountains, Hudson is twenty minutes from Montreal's West-Island shops and corporate offices. There are no big malls or circuses to draw visitors to Hudson. Yet visitors flock to this town to enjoy its antique shops, restaurants, gracious country homes and other amenities. The town has several private clubs such as a yacht club, tennis club, racquetball club and golf clubs. The Village Theatre presents an excellent variety of plays and entertainers in its newly renovated theatre. Furthermore, it has several churches along with a variety of social groups such as an amateur drama club, a gardening club, and music groups.

The town offers excellent schooling and a well staffed and equipped Medical Center with doctors on call 24 hours a day. Hudson is not only a great place to visit, but also a wonderful place to live.
